Hansen Yuncken
“I am pleased to provide this letter of reference for Engineering Technologies Group Pty Ltd (ETG), and in particular Mr Trevor McGrath, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the successful delivery of the Adeney Private Hospital project.
ETG was engaged by Hansen Yuncken to provide specialist support in the commissioning management and coordination of the hospital’s highly complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire systems. Their scope encompassed the testing, validation, completion planning, and certification of the mechanical and fire management systems. These systems were critical to the operational readiness of the facility and required a rigorous, structured, and collaborative approach to ensure full compliance with project requirements, statutory obligations, and operational expectations of the hospital operator through Department of Health compliance.
From the outset, ETG demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the technical and procedural complexities associated with healthcare infrastructure. The project required careful integration of multiple stakeholders, including Adeney Private Hospital, the operator, Centuria, the development entity, independent commissioning agents, design consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. ETG played a central role in coordinating and aligning these parties, ensuring clear communication pathways, defined responsibilities, and agreed testing and commissioning protocols.
A key factor in the successful completion of the project was ETG’s proactive engagement throughout all phases of delivery with the appropriate stakeholders. Their involvement extended from early planning stages through the commissioning planning, execution, Occupational Permit phase, to final completion, and into the 12-month post-completion building tuning commitment. ETG developed and implemented structured completion strategies, detailed commissioning programs, and validation frameworks that provided clarity and certainty to all stakeholders, through their diagnostics and thorough understanding of the systems being delivered.
Mr Trevor McGrath, in particular, provided strong leadership and technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle. He and his team effectively integrated the interests and requirements of third-party stakeholders, facilitating agreement on testing regimes, witness testing protocols, system validation processes, and documentation standards. Their ability to manage complex interfaces and negotiate practical, compliant outcomes was instrumental in achieving timely certification and operational readiness played an integral part in the project’s success.
ETG’s professionalism, technical expertise, and collaborative approach significantly reduced project risk and ensured a smooth transition from construction to operational readiness and handover. Their structured methodologies, attention to detail, and commitment to quality were evident at every stage.
Based on our experience, I have no hesitation in recommending Engineering Technologies Group Pty Ltd and Mr Trevor McGrath for future projects requiring high-level systems integration, commissioning management, and complex stakeholder coordination.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
